North Atlantic film review by Victor Ampofo Twumasi
A lonely air‑traffic controller in the Azores communicates with a distressed pilot over the North Atlantic. Emotional tension builds through voice alone
North Atlantic" is a short film about a lonely air traffic controller who talks to a pilot lost over the ocean. The film shows how two strangers can connect deeply, even in a short time and through just their voices.
The movie uses quiet moments, soft lighting, and simple camera shots to create a calm but emotional feeling. There isn’t much action, but the emotions are strong. The silence makes the conversation more powerful.
The main message is about loneliness, human connection, and empathy. Even though the controller can’t save the pilot, he stays with him and gives him comfort.
