NURSERY RHYMES NORMANYO ELIZABETH BFAMPP28002 (GROUP2)

  To begin with;

Director: Tom Noakes

Writer:Will Goodfellow

The shot film (Nursery Rhymes) talks about;

 A shirtless, tattooed man stands alone by the roadside, singing “Old MacDonald.” He seems in shock and emotionally distant.

A white car has crashed nearby. A black caterpillar (bulldozer) arrives. Two men get down and pull someone out of the crashed car.

 The woman (injured but alive) with a baby standing there and talks to the man.

The man suddenly stops singing and stares at her.

There's a sense of sadness and emotional connection between them.

In addition ;

A city-looking man is making a phone call, likely for help.

Other people are standing around silently, watching.

 In the field, there are cows walking nearby showing it’s a rural area.

 Besides the crashed car, there are things scattered everywhere maybe they were transporting food, or it’s symbolic of a lost journey or broken plan.

Also;

The nursery rhyme at first feels silly, but it hides pain, guilt, and emotional pain.The whole scene shows the aftermath of a crash, not just in action, but in emotion, confusion, regret, and loss.

The protagonist is shirtless young tattooed man.

He is the main focus of the story. The follows him from the beginning to the end.

The story is really about him trying to help in a situation where others might be scared to act.

Secondly;

The theme was;

emotional pain and guilt people show pain in different ways.

it also engages me, where

it started slow but became emotional and surprising.

A quiet scene after a crash slowly reveals a powerful emotional truth.

Yes; the surprise was the singing, the woman, and the silence all held unexpected meaning.

Furthermore;

Yes, the characters were believable. The man with tattoos gave a very emotional performance. He didn’t speak much, but his face and singing showed deep pain. The woman also acted well, especially when she stood there and spoke to him.

No character seemed bad or fake. The relationships were quiet but powerful, especially between the man and the woman. Their silence or their actions and looks showed something serious happened between them.

So yes, the performances felt real and strong

Also;

The cinematography was simple but powerful. The camera moved slowly, allowing us to take in the emotion of each moment. One standout shot was the man singing with the wrecked car blurred behind him it created a strong feeling of mystery and sadness.

The lighting was natural, showing the realness of the scene. The colors were dull and quiet, matching the mood of the story. Overall, the visuals helped us feel the silence, pain, and confusion without needing many words.

Yes, the sound helped the story a lot. The man’s singing of “Old MacDonald” was soft but emotional, making the scene feel sad and strange at the same time. There was no background music, which made the silence more powerful.

The sound effects were clear, you could hear the caterpillar, footsteps, and quiet talking. There was no dramatic music, but the quiet atmosphere made the emotions stronger. The simple sound made the film more real and touching.

In conclusion;

Yes, the film met expectations and even went beyond them. It started quietly but built up deep emotion.

Its strengths were;

Strong acting, especially from the man.

Powerful silence and realistic feeling.

Simple but emotional storytelling.

The Weaknesses also was;

A bit slow at first.

Not much dialogue, so some viewers may not understand the meaning right away. It made me feel sad and thoughtful, and yes, I would recommend it because it shows how emotional pain can affect people deeply. The film leaves a strong emotional message that stays with me .
